Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday has issued a statement, condemning Israel’s acts of violence in Occupied Palestinian Territories.
The statement says: “Pakistan views the recent alarming developments in the Occupied Palestinian Territories with serious concern.”
In the recent developments, over 100 Palestinians were injured as a result of violent clashes with Israeli forces. The clashes were reported after far-right Israelis marched towards the occupied East Jerusalem chanting “death to Arabs”.
“The violence broke out outside one of the entrances to the walled Old City where far-right Israelis had completed a march, during which participants harassed Palestinians and chanted ‘death to Arabs’ and waved banners reading: ‘Death to terrorists’,” Al Jazeera reports.
Moreover, the ministry says Pakistan condemns these violent acts carried out by the Israeli Occupation forces. The statement also urges the international community for prompt action to protect Palestinians.
“These illegal measures have seen an upsurge since the onset of the holy month of Ramadan,” it adds.
The statement concludes that Pakistan steadfastly supports the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to self-determination.
