Pakistan army major martyred in Awaran checkpost attack by terrorists

Major Shahid Bashir of Pakistan Army was martyred in an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in Awaran area of Balochistan.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on the night of April 22, terrorists attacked a security forces post in Awaran area of Balochistan.
ISPR reported that the terrorists attacked a check post in Kahan on the outskirts of Awaran in Balochistan, after which the forces successfully repulsed the attack.
According to ISPR, after successfully repelling the attack, the fugitive terrorists were chased in the nearby mountains while Major Shahid Bashir was martyred in an exchange of fire with the terrorists and a soldier was also injured in the exchange of fire.
ISPR said that, forces are committed to working with the nation to thwart efforts to sabotage Balochistan’s peace, stability and development.
