Pakistan Air Force plane crashes near Shorkot city

RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft has crashed near Shorkot city in Punjab, a PAF spokesperson said on Friday.
Mirage plane was on a routine operational training mission, he said in a statement. “The pilot safely ejected and no loss of life or property had been reported on the ground,” the spokesman added.

Moreover, a board of inquiry has been ordered by the Air Headquarters to determine the cause of the accident.
On Jan 7, two pilots had been martyred as a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) FT-7 aircraft, while on a routine operational training mission, crashed near Mianwali.
A PAF spokesperson had said, both the pilots on board, Squadron Leader Haris bin Khalid and Flying Officer Ibaad ur Rehman, had embraced shahadat (martyrdom).
A board of inquiry had been ordered by Air Headquarters to determine the cause of the accident.
