Pilot martyred as PAF F-16 plane crashes in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) F-16 aircraft has crashed near Shakarparian in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Local media has quoted rescue sources as saying that the plane crashed in the Chaand Taara area near the federal capital while rehearsing for the Pakistan Day, March 23. Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area and rescue teams have arrived at the site of the incident.
Wing Commander Noman Akram has embraced Shahadat in F16 crash during rehearsal.
A board of inquiry has been ordered by PAF Air Headquarters to determine the cause of accident.
