Owners’ request for the immediate reopening of schools by court order rejected

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected a petition filed by school owners seeking immediate reopening of a school.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah has remarked that the government must be considering all the issues on this issue itself.
On Monday, the Islamabad High Court directed the private school owners to approach the relevant forum. The court directed the petitioner to approach the relevant forum and disposed of the application.
Chief Justice Athar Minullah remarked that policy making is the job of the government, the court will not interfere, the elected government is accountable to the people, they will decide based on the situation.
Petitioner’s lawyer had told the court that all educational institutions have been closed for a few months due to Coronavirus, school owners are facing serious problems but the government does not care, petitioned the para authority but no decision has been taken yet. ۔
