ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan on Saturday said the process of vaccination was in full swing as more than one million people were being vaccinated against COVID-19 every day.
“It is a positive sign for controlling the virus in the country,” he said while talking to media in Quetta.
He said Pakistan was undergoing the fourth lethal wave of Coronavirus as the current Indian delta variant spread faster than the previous ones.
The PM’s aide said a complaint portal had also been set up where only a few thousand grievances had been received and most of them resolved timely.
He said the federal government would provide all possible assistance and support for improvement of the health sector in Balochistan.
More than 95 people have died during the last 24 hours due to COVID-19 in Pakistan. 57,233 tests were conducted during this time, 4,720 came positive. Positivity ratio has been recorded at 8.24 percent.
