After receiving several complaints, Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) sealed more than 300 clinics and hospitals which were owned by unlicensed doctors.
The citizens are at the mercy of the quacks in the federal capital, where hundreds of unlicensed doctors are playing with the lives in private clinics and hospitals.
The Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) has sealed 111 hospitals and clinics owned by unlicensed doctors. At least 318 private clinics have been sealed, including laboratories and pharmacies.
CEO IHRA Quaid Saeed says that piracy is a serious problem in Pakistan, with hundreds of fake medical practitioners are detained in areas around Islamabad.
FIRs against fake medical practitioners have also been registered, IHRA CEO said.
As many as 205 laboratories and private hospitals’ services have also been suspended after the operation.
Officials said that any violation of the standards set for running a hospital, laboratory or clinic will not be tolerated.
