KARACHI: More than 100 activists have been arrested as Tehreek e Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) continues protest for second day on Tuesday.
Most of the main roads of the country remained blocked, while some incidents of clash between protestors and security personnel were also reported in different parts of the country.
The TLP launched countrywide protest after Lahore police arrested TLP Chief Saad Hussain Rizvi from Iqbal Town in Lahore, a day ago.
The federal government has posted Rangers at Faizabad Bridge, IJP Road and Dhokri Chowk in Islamabad. Whereas, demonstration was held in Bahara Kahu which blocked Athal Chowk and Tarnol Phatak for traffic.
Police resorted to shelling teargas on protestors at Chowk Yatim Khana while traffic was blocked at different locations including Chowhang on Multan Road in Lahore.
Traffic remained blocked on Saagian Bridge, Shahdra Road, Ferozepur Road and Shanghai Bridge.
Traffic remained jam at Bahawalpur Chowk due to the protest.
While in Karachi, traffic remained jammed in Orangi Town No 4, Baldia No 4, Hub River Road, Liaquatabad and Korangi.
