Over 0.5 mn coronavirus vaccine doses administered yesterday: Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development and National Command and Operation Center Chairman Asad Umar on Tuesday said for the first time more than 0.5 million coronavirus vaccine doses were administered during one day in Pakistan.
The national record of administration of highest number of first doses was also achieved last day, he relayed.
“For the first time we crossed half a million doses of vaccination yesterday. 5 lakh 25 thousand doses were administered yesterday. Highest ever first dose was also achieved yesterday with 3 lakh 90 thousand first doses administered. The pace will increase further insha Allah,” Asad Umar tweeted.

The vaccination drive against Covid-19 is underway across the country to prevent spread of the disease.
According to latest updates issued by the National Command and Operation Center, more than 3.942 million people have been so far fully vaccinated while more than 15.941 million people partially vaccinated.
The total confirmed covid cases in the country at the moment are over 976,000.
Over 1590 new confirmed covid cases and 21 deaths due to the disease were reported across the country during last twenty four hours.
