Pakistani nation remembered Sawar Muhammad Hussain Janjua with a hashtag #OurMartyrsOurHeroes on Twitter.
10th December marks the death anniversary of Pakistani soldier Muhammad Hussain Janjua, who laid down his life during 1971 Indo-Pak war at the young age of 22 years.
DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar also shared his thoughts on social media. “His fearless actions and indomitable courage inflicted heavy losses to the enemy & single handedly destroyed 16 Indian Tanks,” DG ISPR wrote on Twitter.
Born in 1949 in the village of Dhok Muhammad, Punjab, Muhammad Hussain Janjua joined Pakistan Army when he was 17. After his death in the Indo-Pak War of 1971, his village Dhok Pir Bakhsh was renammed as Dhok Muhammad Hussain Janjua to commemorate his sacrifice.
Janjua was also awarded Nishan-e-Haider.
