Osman Khalid Butt questions the credibility of Pakistan Censor Board

Osman Khalid Butt questions the ban on Joyland which was already certified by the censor board.
Taking to Twitter, Osman wrote, “In due time, I hope a proper investigation is conducted as to how and why there was an attempt to ban an already-certified/Board approved film in the first place”.
Osman hopes a proper investigation is conducted related to the matter. “Either you trust the Censor Boards, overhaul the system, and/or introduce a proper rating system for all films. We’ve heard the ‘in light of written complaints’ spiel before. Enough”, concluded Butt.
Last week, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting declared the internationally acclaimed film Joyland ‘uncertified’ for containing ‘highly objectionable content’.
Today, the committee constituted by PM Shehbaz Sharif to review the ban on the film Joyland gave a clearance certificate to the film and it will release all across Pakistan on November 18.
