ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz on Friday said the opposition parties wanted to make the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) dysfunctional by proposing amendments in its laws suiting their personal interests.
“The opposition parties try to blackmail the government over the passage of bills related to Financial Action Task Force,” he said in an interview with a TV channel.
Senator Syed Shibli Faraz said the government was not going to give any NRO and actions against corrupt elements would be continued.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan was an honest and hardworking leader and he would continue strict accountability. He said the prime minister was using his stature for welfare of the poor of the country.
Shibli Faraz said Bilawal Zardari was leveling baseless allegations against the government and the PM. He said Imran Khan was a role model for our generation as he was working hard for welfare of the country socially and economically.
He said PM Imran had provided money trail in the court of law and the court declared him as Sadiq and Amin.
The Information Minister said people of Pakistan had elected Imran Khan as the premier to play a role for welfare of the country.
He urged the nation to strictly observe the precautionary measures and follow the SOPs during Eid days to contain the corona pandemic.
“Cooperation of the nation in this regard is very essential for complete elimination of this global epidemic,” he said.
