ISLAMABAD: To a query about the All Parties Conference of the opposition parties, Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Thursday said the leaders of the opposition parties wanted to escape from ongoing corruption cases and accountability just to save their looted money.

Talking to a private news channel, he said the opposition parties had a history of registering cases against each other.

Fawad said the government was making all out efforts to bring back former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain to Pakistan.

On Sept 30, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz had said that the government would utilize all legal ways and channels to bring convicted Nawaz Sharif back to the country.

“The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) came in to power with the slogan of change in the system, accountability of the corrupt and it will not make any compromise in this connection,” he had said talking to a local news channel.
