 One way fare for Orange Line train fixed at Rs 40

Lahore: The one-way fare of the Orange Line Metro train has been fixed at Rs 40 per passenger, the Secretary Transport announced through a formal notification regarding the fare.

In this regard, Punjab Transport Minister Jahanzeb Khan Khichi said that the government is committed to the policy of completion of projects and is striving to provide quality transport facilities to the people.

He said that Orange Line Metro train is not a project of any personal or political party.

Earlier, the Punjab cabinet had approved to fix the fare of the Orange Line Metro train at Rs 40.

In the 35th meeting of the provincial cabinet chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar, the proposal to fix the fare of the Orange Line train at Rs 50 was rejected.

It was approved to fix the train fare at Rs. 40 to provide relief to the citizens of Lahore.
