One soldier martyred in crossfire along Line of Control

RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan army soldier on Tuesday embraced shahadat during exchange of fire along the Line of Control in Shahkot Sector.

Media wing of the armed forces, the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) reported that Indian Army troops resorted to unprovoked fire in Shahkot Sector along the LoC with heavy weapons.

Pakistan Army responded effectively targeting those post which initiated fire, inflicted heavy losses on enemy in terms of men and material, the ISPR said.

“During exchange of fire, one brave soldier Sepoy Wajid Ali, 20, resident of District Dadu, valiantly responding to Indian ceasefire violation embraced shahadat,” it added.
