Nuremberg Municipality issues Umer Sharif’s death certificate
GERMANY: The Nuremberg Municipality has issued an official death certificate of Pakistani legend actor Umer Sharif, on Monday (today).
The Pakistani Consul General Zahid Hussain said that after the issuance of the official death certificate, Umer Sharif’s body was handed over to his wife and diplomatic staff, by the hospital.
According to diplomatic sources, the Pakistani community and diplomatic staff are making arrangements for ghusl-e-mayyat and shroud.
Umer Sharif’s funeral prayers will be offered at the Turkish Mosque in Nuremberg at 1pm local time.
A large number of Pakistanis and people from other countries have gathered for Umer Sharif’s funeral prayers.
However, the diplomatic sources have said that the departure of Umer Sharif’s body to Pakistan has not been confirmed yet.
It shall be recalled that on September 28, Comedian Umer Sharif’s wife Zareen Ghazal, had to spend at least four hours at a police station near Nuremberg Airport during a stopover in Germany.
The air ambulance was to make its first stopover at Nuremberg Airport in Germany after departure from Karachi.
The ambulance company admitted Umar Sharif to the Nuremberg hospital for further medical examination.
Whereas, Zareen Ghazal, did not have a German visa and for this reason she could not leave the airport and could not take care of her husband in the hospital.
However, Zareen Ghazal referred to the police station near Nuremberg Airport and spent about four hours over there.
After a lengthy procedure, Zareen Ghazal received an emergency visa and she rushed to the hospital.
Talking to Geo News, Zareen Ghazal said that the air ambulance would take Omar Sharif to the next destination on the Wednesday morning (today).
Earlier, the Sindh government announced to bear complete expenditures for treatment of veteran comedian and actor Umar Shareef.
