Novel of Peshawar’s woman gets published on international platform

PESHAWAR: A novel written by a woman of Peshawar on issues faced by women got published on international platform ‘Amazon’.
Asia Jamil, nicknamed Eiman, wrote the novel with the title ‘A Prince Who Destroyed My Life’. It is a book of identifying some of the structural and ideological obstacles to gender equality in Pakistan. Paghonda, the main character of the story is gifted with alluring looks which results in her drop-out from school and early childhood marriage. This book is story of her struggles to save her marriage, protect her children and honor of the family.
The writer is MPhil in English Language Teaching. She was inspired to write this book because of her experience to work with marginalised population of her society from a local NGO. She has worked with many girls who were forced to childhood marriages and who ended-up in depression or a few attempting suicides.
After two daughters, Paghonda gives birth to a transgender. People ask her to kill him for the sake of honor of her family, but she refuses to kill him and decides to take care of the transgender’s upbringing herself.
