Nobody standing by Indian moves against Kashmir, says Fawad Chaudhry

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Monday said nobody was supporting Indian moves against occupied Kashmir.

“The Modi government has turned Kashmir into jail,” Fawad Chaudhry said while addressing media in Lahore.

He said the Indian economy was under pressure. Even former prime minister of India Manmohan Singh had expressed concern saying that the national economy had been ruined, he added.

He said Indian Sikhs were not supporting Indian PM Narendra Modi.

The federal minister lamented over withdrawal of citizenship of lakhs of Muslims in Assam state. He said the Indian government was planning to expel those people who had been living there for over a 100 year.

“The world has witnessed what Modi has done with Assam,” he said.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had on Saturday said a mammoth protest march will be held against Indian atrocities in the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on September 3 (Tuesday) from Hyde Park to the High Commission of India in London.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi had said the protest would be participated by members of the House of Lords, British parliament and other politicians of the UK.

“The world is witnessing today that India is negating the political philosophy of Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi, while Indian politics is getting overwhelmed by the RSS ideology,” the FM had said while addressing a public gathering of Hindus in Umerkot, Tharparkar.
