According to the latest development in Ali Zafar vs Meesha Sahfi’s case, the court’s hearing hearing has been adjourned till 17th January 2020 as neither Meesha nor her witnesses appeared before the court.

The court had summoned Shafi for her cross-examination in the hundred crore defamation case. As per details, Shafi’s team had requested the court on three occasions prior to this pleading that they would not be able to appear for the cross-examination due to lawyer’s strike, whereas, on the other hand, Ali Zafar was waiting on the court.

The court had granted Meesha team’s request and summoned them on January 7th 2020, but once again no one showed up from her side. Shafi’s lawyer Saqib Jillani requested for an adjournment.

The defamation case was filed by Ali Zafar after Meesha Shafi accused him of sexual harassment in a tweet back in 2018.
