ISLAMABAD: The government has announced that there will be no loadshedding during the holidays of Eid ul Adha across Pakistan.
The spokesperson of the power division said that uninterrupted power supply will be ensured across the country for three days starting from Friday evening. The electricity supplying entities have been directed to constitute special emergency teams, assign duties to necessary staff and equip them with all the required essentials.
The power division also directed the power generation companies to spread awareness about consumers’ keeping a distance from electric wires and other installations viewing monsoon season and not tying animals with electric pole.
After issuing directives to the electricity companies, the spokesman said the power division will oversee all the situations.
The first day of Eid ul Adha will fall on Aug 1 in Pakistan. The government has announced a three-day holiday. A notification issued by the Ministry of Interior says that July 31 to August 2 will be public holidays.
