Prime Minister Imran Khan does not want any person in the winters to be left out and not provided any shelters as temperatures continue to drop in the country.

In a tweet on Sunday, he said he issued instructions to Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief ministers to ensure all people are properly sheltered in the cold.

The KP and Punjab administrations “must take immediate action to provide temporary shelters plus food for those who cannot be accommodated in existing[shelters],” the PM added.

Given the extremely cold weather conditions I have asked CMs of Punjab & KP to ensure that no person is left out without shelter; & their administrations must take immediate action to provide temporary shelters plus food for those who cannot be accommodated in existing Panagahs.

— Imran Khan (@ImranKhanPTI) December 29, 2019

In November the previous year, the premier had ordered Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to provide tents to people sleeping on the footpaths in the province.

He added that he has requested the Punjab CM to provide them food until temporary forms of shelters are made for them.
