Pakistani former cricketer, Wasim Akram has shared his quarantined life fitness routine and asked fans to get motivated from it.
Taking it to Twitter, Wasim shared a video captioned as “no excuses, If I can you can”.
“Its difficult, but motivate me and I will motivate you, I have bought weights and bicycle”,said Wasim in the video.
“Initial two days were very difficult but Shaniera motivated me alot and now I have got the routine”.
Lastly, he wished his fans good luck and urged them stay fit.
On August 14, Wasim Akram and wife Shaniera Akram celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary marking the occasion with sweet Instagram posts.
Leading the social media celebration was Shaniera with a heartwarming message for her husband of eight long years. “8 years together and 10 months away! Love you and miss you more than anything today!” she said.
The couple has been apart for 10 months after COVID restrictions led to Shaniera being stuck in Australia with their daughter.
“Life this year has taught me we can get through anything because our foundations are strong, stronger than anything I could have asked for,” added Shaniera, wishing a happy anniversary to the former cricketing legend and telling him that she can’t wait to see him.
Wasim Akram on the other hand kept his anniversary wish for Shaniera short and cheeky, sharing a picture of him in a rather funny getup for a shoot with the message, “Happy anniversary biwi @iamshaniera. Do you still love me?”
Wasim and Shaniera Akram tied the knot back in 2013, years after Wasim’s first wife Huma Akram passed away. The couple share a daughter Aiyla, along with Wasim’s two sons from his previous marriage.
Wasim Akram was born on 3 June 1966 to a Punjabi Muslim Arain family in Lahore. Akram’s father, Chaudhary Muhammed Akram, was originally from a village near Amritsar, who moved to Kamonki, in the Pakistani Punjab after the partition of India in 1947.
Akram was diagnosed diabetes at the age of 30.
He has won several memorable matches for Pakistan single-handedly. The fast bowler also achieved a milestone to make two hat-tricks in two successive games of Asian Test Championship in 1999.
