The federal energy ministry has said it would ensure continuous electricity supply during the month of Ramazan during sehri, iftar and taraweeh.

No unannounced power outages will occur during those hours, according to the spokeswoman for the ministry.

The decision was taken Thursday at a meeting chaired by the director of the power division. Companies supplying electricity were directed to comply with the order.

The spokesperson added that during the lockdown, companies whose activities have been restored would be supplied with electricity without interruptions.
