‘No early elections’, PML-N agrees in London meeting

PML-N London huddle decided not to hold early elections in the country and General elections will be held only after the completion of electoral reforms.
In London, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif, after which an important consultative meeting of PML-N was held.
The meeting was attended by Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Maryam Aurangzeb, Ahsan Iqbal and others.
According to sources, the meeting decided to take all parties into confidence in important decisions to handle the country’s economy.
PML-N sources said, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif has directed to formulate a strategy to minimize the burden on the people.
According to sources, the meeting also decided to probe into the evidence of corruption of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, former PTI ministers and members of the Assembly.
In the meeting, Nawaz Sharif also congratulated Shahbaz Sharif on becoming the Prime Minister and it was decided that the party would be organized at the district level.
According to sources, Nawaz Sharif said that special importance should be given to PML-N workers.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the ministers presented their proposals to Nawaz Sharif, further Nawaz Sharif directed that the process of constitutional reforms should be completed as soon as possible.
PML-N spokeswoman and Federal Minister for Information Maryam Aurangzeb said that, the first consultative meeting of the party leadership was held today under the chairmanship of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif. The strategy to get the country out of the economic and constitutional crisis will be announced today.
According to Maryam Aurangzeb, in today’s meeting, a detailed briefing was given to Nawaz Sharif on the serious economic, constitutional and administrative crises inherited by the present government. The government team informed Nawaz Sharif about the current economic realities.
The government team said that the price of petrol has not been increased to save the people from the additional burden of inflation. The meeting considered various recommendations related to inflation, relief of the people from load shedding.
The meeting also reviewed the anti-constitutional measures taken from April 3 to date and agreed to deal with anti-constitutional elements in accordance with the constitution and law.
