No confidence motion to be filed against CM Jam Kamal

Disappointed Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) MPAs have declared plans to submit a no-confidence vote against Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal on October 12 (Tuesday), according to media sources.

Abdul Rehman Khetran, Nawabzada Tariq Magsi, Zahoor Buledi, Sarfaraz Domki, Muhammad Khan Lehri, Bushra Rind, Lala Rasheed Dashti, Mahjabeen, and Laila Tareen attended the meeting.

The statement was made during a meeting of the BAP’s dissatisfied MPAs, which was presided over by the party’s head organiser, Jan Jamali.

The discussion focused on the no-confidence motion to be submitted against Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal. In his address to the conference attendees, Jan Jamali stated that Kamal was given the opportunity to resign with dignity, but he chose not to.

Governor Balochistan Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha accepted the resignations of three provincial ministers on Friday, but Chief Minister Jam Kamal reaffirmed his refusal to resign.

Asad Baloch, Zahoor Buledi, and Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran resigned amid differences with the current chief minister, who they urged to quit.

According to sources in the Governor House, they had returned the resignations of four parliamentary secretaries and would submit a notification for acceptance of the ministers’ resignations shortly.
