Cricketer and former national team’s captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has clarified that there is no competition between him and wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan.
“There is nothing like this.. there may be a competition for people but for two of us there is no such thing,” Sarfaraz remarked while talking to the media.
Sarfaraz further said that he was disappointed with the delay in Pakistan Super League which was postponed due to growing cases of COVID-19 among the players.
“I am hopeful that the tournament will take place (again),” he added.
Sarfaraz was facing criticism as his team Quetta Gladiators had not won their first four matches but in their fifth match they defeated Multan Sultans by defending the target as they broke the chasing trend.
“We will continue to perform well once the tournament restarts,” concluded the former captain.
