Nine killed in road accidents in Karachi, Chichawatni

KARACHI: At least nine people were killed in two separate road accidents in Karachi and Chichawatni on Saturday.

Six people were killed and five wounded when a pickup van collided with a rickshaw and caught fire near Do Minute Chowrangi in New Karachi area. The dead and injured had been shifted to a nearby hospital for autopsy and medical treatment.

All the victims were going to attend a wedding ceremony.

Meanwhile, three people including a woman were killed when a passenger bus hit a motorbike on National Highway near Chichawatni on Saturday morning.
