NICH fire: Infant receives burns as incubator catches fire

KARACHI: On Thursday, an infant sustained serious burn injuries after an incubator catch fire at National Institute of Child Health (NICH).

The Directory NICH confirmed the incident and told that the incubator caught fire inside intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital and burned a new born girl.

The incubator caught fire due to short circuit, said the hospital sources.

The hospital administration says they are investigating the cause of the fire.
