NAPIER: Batting first, New Zealand put 173 for 7 on board against Pakistan in the dead rubber in Napier on Tuesday.

Thanks to Devon Conway (63), wicket-keeper Tim Seifert (35) and Glenn Phillips (31), the hosts managed to score a fighting total.

Faheem Ashraf clean bowled Seifert, skipper Kane Williamson (1) and James Neesham (2). Haris Rauf routed opener Martin Guptil for 19 and Conway.

In its third T20I cricket match against New Zealand, Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first. The Kiwis are leading the series of three T20I with 2-0 against the Green Shirts.

New Zealand are eying a whitewash against Pakistan at McLean Park. Pakistan have introduced three key changes in playing XI, Hussain Talat, Mohammad Hasnain and Iftikhar Ahmed have replaced Abdullah Shafiqe, Wahab Riaz and Imad Wasim.

In a back-to-back T20I series win. New Zealand claimed victory by 5 wickets in series’ first match while in the second match Pakistan cricket team was defeated by 9 wickets.
