New Zealand team lands in Pakistan for Test, ODIs series

The New Zealand cricket team on Wednesday landed in Karachi for the historic two tests and three-match ODI series against Pakistan.
The Kiwi team and officials have reached Karachi from Dubai after a journey of over 15 hours.
The first match of the two-test series between Pakistan and New Zealand will begin in Karachi on December 26, while the second test match will be played in Multan from January 3.
The Black Caps will play three ODIs from January 10 to 14 in Karachi after the conclusion of the Test series.
A day earlier, Pakistan announced 16-player test squad for the test series against New Zealand.
Pakistan’s fast bowler Hassan Ali has been added back to the team, while the Green Shirts have also named an uncapped middle-order batter Kamran Ghulam in the test squad.
Unlucky Haris Rauf has been ruled out of the test squad as he suffered injury during the Rawalpindi Test against England.
However, fast bowler Naseem Shah, who missed the Multan and Karachi Tests due to a shoulder injury, has been declared fit and retained in the squad.
Last year in September, New Zealand canceled the tour of Pakistan a few hours before the Black Caps’ first scheduled match in Pakistan in 18 years due to security concerns and returned home without playing any matches.
