New Zealand have claimed victory in the first T20I match against Pakistan by 5 wickets on Friday.
In the first inning Pakistan Cricket team made 153 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. All 9 players were interestingly caught out. Pakistani Captain Shadab Khan contributed by scoring highest runs (42) followed by Faheem Ashraf (31) and Imad Wasim (19) while from New Zealand’s side Jacob Duffy took four wickets with three wickets taken by Scott Kuggeleijn.
New Zealand chased down the target by scoring 156 runs in second last over with five wickets in hand, marking 1-0 lead in a series of three T20I.
Tim Seifert, a wicket-keeper batsman, scored 57 runs while Mark Chapman and Glenn Phillips contributed 34 and 23 runs respectively. Among Pakistani bowlers, Haris Rauf claimed three wickets while two wickets were taken by Shaheen Afridi.
The next T20I will be played on Sunday(December 20).
