New York’s Empire State Building lights up in tribute to emergency workers

New York’s Empire State Building shone like a blaring red beacon on Monday night to honor health workers fighting coronavirus.
The building lit with red and white lights that are reminiscent of an emergency signal. The nightly light show will continue over the duration of the current pandemic, said Empire State Realty Trust, the owner of the building.
“Starting tonight through the COVID-19 battle, our signature white lights will be replaced by the heartbeat of America with a white and red siren in the mast for heroic emergency workers on the front line of the fight,” the building’s official Twitter handle said.
