KARACHI: Two bungalows have been looted in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) after a new ‘white Corolla gang’ is active in the locality.
On Sunday night, dacoits broke into a bungalow in DHA Phase V and fled after stealing valuables, gold jewelry, and cash.
Earlier on 7th November, there was a similar incident, where reportedly the same dacoits broke into a bungalow in DHA Phase VIII. After snatching the security guards’ weapons they held them hostage and tied the guards with the wires.
It took them only half an hour before they took off with the valuables from the house, whereas the CCTV footage reveals the involvement of five suspects in the incident.
Investigation for both the cases have started and the police have also registered a case in this regard.
According to the police, this gang of robbers using a white Corolla is different from the ‘white Corolla gang’ of the past.
As indicated by the police, these looters don’t seem, by all accounts, to be proficient dacoits and they gave up fingerprints and other proof, which was gathered by the examining authorities. The police completed geo-fencing in the region and has started raids to capture the suspects.
