 New sanctions announced in areas with positive rates above 10%

Islamabad: Meeting at the National Command and Operations Center, the NCOC announced new sanctions on Corona. The new sanctions have been decided in consultation with the provinces. The sanctions will take effect from January 20 to 31. 

According to the announcement, indoor events will be banned in cities with a rate of more than 10%, while in cities with a rate of less than 10%, 300 people will be able to participate in indoor events. Only fully vaccinated individuals will be able to attend indoor events. 

Outside 500 people can participate in cities with rates less than 10%. According to the announcement, it has been decided to have 50% attendance of children under 12 years in educational institutions. The decisions of new restrictions will be reviewed on January 27. 

50% of people with both vaccinations will be allowed in shrines, gyms, cinemas and parks, depending on the capacity. 

Karachi is witnessing an alarming increase in the number of cases of Covid 19 daily. Federal Health Ministry officials said that the rate of positive cases of Corona in the city has reached 40.13%. 

Health officials said that 7232 tests were conducted in Karachi yesterday, out of which 2902 corona cases came to light. 

Sources said that rate of Corona in Gilgit was recorded at 5.26%, Diamer at 3.23%, Muzaffarabad at 21.43%, Mirpur Azad Kashmir at 4.91% and Islamabad at 11.80%. 

In the last 24 hours, the corona rate in Rawalpindi was 10.26%, Lahore 15.15%, Gujarat 0.95%, Multan 1.32%, Bahawalpur 1.47% and in Faisalabad it was 1.70%. 

Similarly, corona cases in Quetta were 2.71%, Peshawar 10.68%, Mardan 2.49%, Nowshera 2.60%, Abbottabad 2.44%, Bannu and Skardu were at zero.
