New rain spell forecast in Karachi, management directed to be ready

KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has forecast a new spell of rains in Sindh including Karachi. PDMA Sindh has directed the administration to remain active for the next three days.
According to details, PDMA Sindh has sent an emergency letter to Commissioner Karachi in view of the forecast of new spell of rains in Sindh including Karachi.
PDMA says that Karachi administration should make complete arrangements for rains, arrangements for protection of property, livestock, machinery should be ready and management should remain active for next 3 days using resources.
On the other hand, Sindh Local Bodies Secretary Roshan Ali Sheikh while instructing the local bodies to remain active in view of possible rains said that the Water Board staff should remain fully active and ready.
Sindh Local Bodies Secretary said that he would personally make surprise visit to different areas. Municipal and Deputy Commissioners should report their areas. In case of rain, water should not be stagnant anywhere.
