New instructions issued to police for Patrolling in Karachi
Karachi Authorities have issued new instructions for police patrolling in Federal B Industrial Area, Karachi, following the incident of firing on a police mobile by motorcyclists.
The written orders also call for immediate and strict implementation of security instructions.
The instructions issued by the office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police South said that the patrolling staff would be wearing bulletproof jackets and helmets at all times while on duty.
The guidelines also state that all police mobiles will have a contingent of at least 4 personnel at all times, with the driver of the police mobile carrying a full magazine loaded pistol at all times while on duty.
The instructions also said that one of the staff members on the police mobile would have a full magazine loaded SMG, while a young man wearing a helmet and blood proof jacket must stand with the SMG in the police mobile.
The instructions also said that two armed men on a motorcycle would patrol jointly with police mobiles to cover each other.
