New cycle of rain and snow forecasted to begin across the country
ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rains in most parts of the country and snowfall in mountainous areas with further increase in the severity of cold weather. Meanwhile, the weather in different parts of the federal capital has turned rainy since morning.
Light rain happening in Quetta from last day. However, weather forecasters said that rain is expected in other areas of Balochistan like Pishin, Loralai, Chaman, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Zhob and Barkhan. Snowfall is expected in Nokandi, Dalbandin, Sibi, Kalat, Quetta and Ziarat.
The meteorological department has forecasted rain in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Murree, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Khushab, Mianwali, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal and Sargodha. There is a possibility of heavy fog in the plains.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department said that heavy fog is likely in Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad and Mohenjo-daro in Sindh while further increase in the severity of cold is expected in Karachi from tomorrow.
Meteorologists said that rain is also expected in Chitral, Dir, Kalam, Mansehra, Malakand, Swat, Kohistan, Abbottabad and Buner. Rain and snowfall is expected in Mardan, Nawshehra, Peshawar, Charsadda, Kohat, Bajaur, Waziristan and Karam.
