Four participants of voluntary trials for newly-developed Covid-19 Vaccine have suffered medical complications in the United States. US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has yet to consider emergency use of the vaccine in the country most affected by the virus.
Four people who got Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine in the firm’s trial developed Bell’s palsy, a form of temporary facial paralysis, US regulators observed.
The drug regulators said there wasn’t any clear way that the vaccine caused Bell’s palsy, but advised doctors to stay cautious. According to the article published in RT, a Russian news website: “The side effects are common but appear to be minor. Out of the trial participants, 84 percent experienced some kind of reaction. After receiving the jab, 63 percent of trial subjects reported fatigue and 55 percent said they suffered from headaches. Chills were reported by 32 percent of participants, 24 percent complained of joint pain and 14 percent developed a fever.”
Overall, the vaccine appears to have received good marks from the FDA which is supposed to be given full approval on Thursday (today).
