Watch: Netizens strongly criticise the poor management of Karachi Eat 2023

“Got lost, no mobile signals, men were harassing women”, netizens summed up their experience of attending Karachi Eat Festival 2023.

This year marked the tenth edition of the Karachi Eat Festival. It’s has started on Jan 6 and ended up yesterday at Beach View Park.

But the people who have attended this year’s Khi Eat are strongly criticising the poor management of the event. From allowing groups of men in a family festival to extremely poor management, Karachiites summed up their experience of attending the Karachi Eat Festival as one of the worst experiences ever.

One of the Twitter users wrote, “I got lost today at Karachi eat, no mobile signals nothing, the crowd was shit. Men were harassing women. Even I got harassed too. Worst Karachi Eat ever”.

There was almost a major stampede yesterday night at #KarachiEat. Barricades were broken. Women were harassed. Stuff was thrown at the performing artists. A ‘family only’ event turned into an ‘All Men’ event.

Also men in Pakistan: Will break gates to enter an event for civilised friends and families, throw bottles at performers, and break into fights

Stags broke the gates and forcefully entered #KarachiEat today. People are saying that they literally had to leave through spaces between walls and jump off them to get out of the chaos. Please ban such events in the city if security can’t be managed.

10 years of Karachi eat, and today was the worst. Stags broke in from sides, threw bottles at Kaifi, he left in the middle, Young Stunners refused to perform cause of this chaos. #KarachiEat
