 NEPRA’s explanatory statement regarding temporary complaint center in Karachi

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued an explanatory statement on the issue of a temporary complaint center in Karachi.

A statement issued by NEPRA said that news about NEPRA was being aired on various media channels and social media. The news said that NEPRA had set up a temporary complaint center in Karachi to register over billing complaints.

According to the statement, media reports said that consumers with complaints of over billing should not pay their bills, the authority explained, adding that NEPRA had not issued any such statement.

The NEPRA statement also clarified that NEPRA’s Karachi Regional Office has been working for over billing and other complaints since 2013, providing all possible assistance to the customers.

The statement said that the authority has decided that the Karachi Regional Office will remain open on Saturday and Sunday as well, for the convenience of the customers in the light of the current situation.
