NEPRA notifies Rs4.85 per unit hike in electricity price
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased the price of electricity by Rs4.85 per unit, a notification has also been issued.
According to the NEPRA, electricity has been made more expensive in the context of February’s monthly fuel price adjustment.
NEPRA said, consumers should be charged for April electricity bills.
The notification further said that consumers will be burdened with Rs38 billion in addition to GST, however, the decision will not be applicable to K-Electric consumers.
