NEPRA increases electricity tariff by 48 paisa per unit

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued a notification to increase the price of electricity for one month.

According to a statement issued by NEPRA, the price of electricity has been increased by 48 paisa per unit and this increase has been made in the context of the fuel adjustment price of August.

The notification said that the fuel cost per unit of electricity production in August was Rs 3.68 while the advance fuel cost was fixed at Rs 3.20 per unit in August.

According to the NEPRA statement, additional collection from consumers will be taken in the context of the November bill, however, the decision will not apply to the consumers of K-Electric.
