NEPRA increases electricity price by Rs11.10 per unit for K-E consumers
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased the price of electricity by Rs11.10 per unit on account of monthly fuel cost adjustment (FCA) for the consumers of Karachi Electric (KE).
NEPRA has issued a notification to raise the price by Rs11.10 per unit.
As per the notification issued by NEPRA, additional charges will be made in electricity bills in August and September.
The adjustment will be charged in the bills for August and September 2022, which will be applicable to all KE consumer categories except lifeline consumers.
The hike in power tariff comes a day after the government notified Rs3.50 per unit increase in national base electricity tariff and promised to investigate complaints of overbilling on account of monthly FCAs in the current bills.
