NCOC relaxes restrictions as COVID cases shrink
ISLAMABAD: The National Command Operation Center (NCOC) has announced relaxation in restrictions on declining of coronavirus cases.
According to the NCOC, shrines, cinemas, gyms, indoor dining and amusement parks will remain closed. Restaurants will be allowed to resume outdoor service till midnight from May 24, while takeaway service will be permitted 24/7 in districts with less than 5 percent positivity ratio of Covid cases.
150 guests could be invited at wedding ceremony from Jun 1 and restrictions on tourism sector will also be lifted by strictly following COVID-19 protocols.
Educational institutions will be opened in the districts with less than 5 percent positivity ratio from June 1. All Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary School Certificate examinations will be held after 20th of the next month. However, conduct of all professional and non-professional examinations will take place on case-to-case basis.
Whereas, sports, cultural, musical and religious festivals and events will be completely banned. Inter provincial public transport on Saturday and Sunday will continue to remained closed till further review.
The meeting permitted reopening of Gadani and Misri Shah Industry from tomorrow.
