 Nazia Hassan’s death anniversary being observed today

The 21st death anniversary of Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan is being observed on Friday (today).

Nazia Hassan was born on April 03 1965 in Karachi. She was the sister of singers Zoheb Hassan and Zara Hassan.

 She made singing debut in Bollywood with the song Aap Jaisa Koi from Qurbani. Qurbani starred Zeenat Aman, Feroz Khan, Vinod Khanna, Amjad Khan, and Amrish Puri.

Just before three days of her death, Nazia Hassan got divorced from husband Mirza Ishtiaq Baig through Khula. They both have a son Arez Hassan.

Nazia Hassan died due to lung cancer in London on 13 August 2000 at the age of 35 after battling with it for years.

Her Namaz-e-janaza offered at Golders Green Crematorium and was buried at Hendon Cemetery (Muslim Section) on 5th September 2000 in London.
