LAHORE: Senior Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said that the attempt to arrest PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif was tantamount to political terrorism.
“After filing a reference against Shehbaz, the attempt to arrest Shehbaz Sharif is not just NAB-gardi but it is a political terrorism as well,” Ahsan Iqbal said while addressing a press conference in Lahore.
He said through such tactics the government wanted to suppress the opposition’s voice. He said the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government was working on making Pakistan a one-party country as it had launched a new wave of “NAB-gardi” against the opposition.

The PML-N leader said new law was being invented which was called NAB jurisprudence.
On PML-N supremo’s multiparty conference statement, he said Nawaz Sharif’s every statement was respectable for his party.
The former federal minister for planning and development asked if one could believe that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) returned to the government in Sindh, the PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the PML-N did not make the government in Punjab despite giving exemplary performance in its last tenure.
He said through horse-trading a minority party came to power in Punjab and ruined it. The government’s victimization had gone blind and it has started working on making Pakistan a fascist state, he maintained.
“After four years the PML-N government produced 11,000 watt electricity. During the N-League era, economic development climbed to six percent growth rate. Now the economic development has gone in negative,” he said adding that government ministers gave birth to new crisis through their irresponsible statements.
