‘Nawaz Sharif was disqualified due to Iqama, not on Panama reference,’ Maryam Safdar

Maryam Safdar said on Wednesday (today) that Pakistan, which was flourishing under the PML-N’s term, is now experiencing difficulties. Maryam Safdar claimed that the PML-N’s elected government was forcibly dissolved via fake plots.
In a talk with the media in Islamabad, the PML-N leader stated that the elected prime minister was presented to the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in the Panama case. She went on to say that the bail procedure was purposefully made complicated in the run-up to the elections.
Maryam Nawaz claimed that the government attempted to undermine the PML-N by stealing the 2018 general elections.

The former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif was dismissed over Iqama, not the Panama issue, she added, and the case against her was launched on the basis of political engineering.
Previously, the registrar office of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) expressed objections to a fresh petition seeking revocation of the Avenfield case judgement.
According to the registrar’s office, Maryam Safdar has referenced the identical appeal that she had previously filed in the main petition. The office further noted that the PML-N leader may only specify new reasons with the court’s consent.
