KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government ruined Pakistan.
“Nobody should try to shut me up because I will not stop speaking. We have no competition with Imran Khan, we do not consider him a rival neither we give him any importance,” Nawaz Sharif said while addressing the meeting of Central Working Committee of the PML-N through a video link from London.
He said his government improved economy of Pakistan, while the incumbent government could not make even the BRT project operational till date. He said inflation was depleting in the PML-N’s times.
“We completed energy projects in months. In our tenure, the world was praising Pakistan for its development. People were getting gas, electricity and jobs in our tenure,” he said.

The former prime minister said he felt pain when he saw his country today. “Where are one 10 million jobs? Rather 15 million people have become jobless,” he said adding that the real culprits of the current situation were those who brought Prime Minister Imran Khan into power. He called Imran Khan “their” stooge.
Nawaz Sharif said Imran was a yes-man before those who were to blame for destruction of the country.
He said people were prosperous till 2018, while growth rate had nosedived due to the economic policies of the ruling party. He also said PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif was being punished for the crimes that he did not commit.
“We comprehend whatever is going on in Pakistan. We are not deaf and dumb. We are not a herd of animals,” he said.
The PML-N leader accused Imran Khan, who boasted himself of being an ambassador of Kashmir, had sold the valley to India.
He also accused the ruling party leadership of corruption of millions of rupees in mega projects. He questioned how PM Imran had accumulated properties worth hundred and millions of rupees in Bani Gala.
