National airline cancels working contract with Palpa

The national airline PIA has canceled its working contract with Pakistan Airline Pilots’ Association (Palpa).

The Sindh High Court has issued a restraining order in favor of the national airline, upholding the PIA’s position of revoking the working agreement. The Sindh High Court has ruled that Palpa cannot be recognized as a CBA union.

The Sindh High Court further said that if Palpa wanted, they could approach the arbitrator for reconciliation and could only work for the welfare of Palpa pilots as an association.

It should be noted that PIA had also removed the illegal status of Palpa’s bargaining. Palpa had challenged the notification of the national airline.
