ISLAMABAD: The nation is celebrating 144th birth anniversary of father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on Friday (today) with traditional zeal and fervour.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on December 25th, 1876, he served as leader of the All-India Muslim League from 1913 until Pakistan’s creation on August 14, 1947.
He then served as Pakistan’s first Governor-General until his death. Quaid-e-Azam passed away on September 11, 1948, shortly after achieving a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Subcontinent.
Quaid-e-Azam through his tireless efforts and unprecedented long struggle gave Muslims of Sub-Continent a free homeland.
On Quaid Day, different government organizations, non-governmental organizations and political parties have arrangement events and seminars to pay tribute to great leader of motherland.
Television and radio channels will broadcast special programmes in connection with the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam in which struggle of father of the nation and his vision for future Pakistan will be highlighted.
